Throughout my final year of study at the University of Canterbury I hade the pleasure of employed as the graphic designer for the UCSA student magazine, CANTA.

While the visual output was my job, collaboration played a HUGE part in the successful production of this printed material.

CANTA gave me the valuable opportunity to work closely with a wide variety of invested stakeholders, with the shared goal of producing something that students could not only enjoy but connect with.

Below is a collection of my favourite covers, layouts & articles for your viewing pleasure.
COVERS
CONTENT & EDITORIAL SPREADS
Consistent layout for all 12 issues produced, each with their own unique twist to match that of the weekly theme. Purposefully including images in the content section to engage the readers attention and elevate their interest.
SINGLE & DOUBLE PAGE ARTICLES
The examples below are some of my personal favourites. I believe they highlight the effectiveness of utilising quirky illustrations as a tool that can engage the reader without sacrificing readability.
